- Older Persons Grant: January 3, 2026
- Disability Grants: January 6, 2026
- Children’s Grants: January 7, 2026
Please note that SASSA does not process grant payments on weekends or public holidays. Consequently, there will be delays in the payment of disability and child support grants for January 2026.
2026 SASSA Grant Payment Amounts
The following grant amounts have been confirmed by SASSA:
- Older Persons Grant: R2,190 (R2,210 for recipients aged 75 and above)
- Disability Grant: R2,190
- War Veterans Grant: R2,210
- Care Dependency Grant: R2,190
- Foster Care Grant: R1,180
- Child Support Grant: R530
- Child Support Grant (Top-Up): R530 + R250
Will Grant Payments Increase in January 2026?
No, SASSA grant payments will not increase in January 2026. Grant increases are implemented twice a year, in April and October, following the annual budget speech. The next SASSA grant increase is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
